Syd Barrett, Sausalito, CA, 1967
I love this shot of Syd. He was fooling around at the table while we were sitting on the veranda of their hotel having coffee. On the table was a little dish of sugar cubes for the coffee. One of the popular ways of starting an LSD trip was to suck on a sugar cube laced with high-grade acid, and Syd was a devotee. It's quite sad how it turned out for Syd; he looks so joyous and full of life here.
