Specialist Rose Miztri joined the Army in 1968 and medically retired in 1976 after a motorcycle accident. Rose was an aircraft mechanic in Korea and a crew chief of a 'dust off' helicopter ambulance during the Vietnam war. After years of the "eyes not matching the body", in 2009 she started living as Rose.
