Michael Massaia: Afterlife IV – Tide Goes Out

New Jersey Shore, 2024-2025

A continuation of Michael’s “Afterlife – New Jersey Shore” Series. This year marks 17 years straight of Michael working on the series. He notes, “The development/re-development of these small towns has been immensely sped up during this short time period (2024-2025).” Working mainly with large format black and white film, Michael uses proprietary analog and digital printing techniques. He works alone and is the sole craftsman from exposure to print. It is hard to do Michael’s photographs much justice on the web, but do at least go full screen!
