Turlock, Stanislaus County Fair, 1976
This was one of my favorite fairs because it opened at 5 pm. We could sleep until noon and then, because it was hot, we would spend the afternoon at our campground, lounging in the shade around the Merced River. At the studio our customers were mainly cowboys, farmers and Okies. These two men posed with their children and grandchildren, and together. They were so shy I can't remember them saying anything.
