Johanna Basford (Ellon, Aberdeenshire, 2013)
Johanna is an illustrator born and raised in Aberdeenshire. Her father’s family is from the Isle of Arran on the West Coast of Scotland; her mother was born in British Guiana, South America, to Chinese parents, and emigrated to Britain when she was six.
