Andrew Ward: Sofas Los Angeles

A typology of the city's abandoned seating

Drawing from his extensive archive of photographs featuring hundreds of sofas abandoned on the sidewalks of Los Angeles and its neighboring areas, Dublin-born artist Andrew Ward has released his debut book, “Sofas Los Angeles.” He says: “This project offers an alternative perspective on Los Angeles, revealing the random elements and fragments that contribute to the tapestry of this complex and ever-changing metropolis.”
