Dr. Kazimierz Durkacz (Edinburgh, 2012)
Dr. Durkacz was born in 1919 in Drohobycz (today's Ukraine). He joined the Polish Army Forces early in WWII, eventually finding himself in a military camp; he was transferred to England and later to Scotland where he was put to work protecting the coast from the prospective German invasion. Ultimately, Dr. Durkacz became a dentist in Edinburgh and retired there.
