Mohammed (Aberdeen, 2013)
Mohammed is from Yobe State in Northern Nigeria and was completing a PhD in chemistry in Aberdeen when we made this portrait. While talking about Scotland, his studies and his experiences of living in Malaya and Nigeria, he quoted from the Quran: "(Show) kindness unto parents, and unto near kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and unto the neighbour who is of kin (unto you) and the neighbour who is not of kin.”
